As someone who has yet to see FF: First Steps and has seen the layout of the timeline for the film and the post credits scene (excluding the mid credits scene, although I’m assuming that occurs not long after the film ends) here is my understanding of the film’s timeline.

Fantastic Four: First Steps - July/August 1965 - July/August 1966
(Main events occur from Oct 31st 1965 - Early Dec 1965?)
Mid Credits - 1966?
Post Credits - Between July - Nov 1970

So if Thunderbolts occurs in either Sept or Oct 2027 and FF is after it does that mean FF would happen around Oct/Nov-Dec 2027 or do we work backwards from the post credits scene in 1970?

as someone else who hasnt seen it yet, im getting the impression that
they get their powers august 1961, the main events of the movie happen from august 1965 - august 1966, with the mid-credits scene being sometime in 1970; the post-credits (herbie watching a ff cartoon) sounds like it would be not long after the events of the main film

October 31, 1965 - Shalla-Bal/Silver Surfer shows up.
Early November 1965 - Franklin Richards is born.
November 1965-Early 1966 - The rest of the movie.
1966 - Post-Credits scene.
1970 - Mid-Credits scene.

November 4, 1965 - F4 press conference. F4 meet Galactus. Silver Surfer chases F4. Franklin Richards is born. F4 return to Earth. F4 press conference return.

Late November 1965 - Sue's speech.

Early December 1965 - Reed's start his plan to build the bridges around world.

Sounds perfect although I thought the mid credits was the cartoon and the post credits was the doom one?

this seems like the closest to accurate to me, if i had to guess
sue must have gotten pregnant around march of 65, with the test being late july, allowing franklin to be born in november; also id say they return in early december after their second launch, as the news states they returned from a "month-long journey"

Just got back from the film and apart from the fact that a month has passed for the earth (one of the tv anchors announces the F4 month long trip so Nov 4th - Dec 4th for black hole part and Dec 4th for return conference) so apart from maybe pushing it into late December or just estimating correctly for Mid December 1965 this is spot on although now I’m thinking about placing the F4 cartoon Post Credits scene before the events of the film as franklins birth would make them the fantastic five like How Ted Gilbert introduces them in the epilogue. So between 1961-1965?
