28 Days Later Timeline

NGL, it feels kinda weird to see Sir Jimmy dressed/looking like a certain... infamous British DJ, even with the alternate universe history stuff. IYKYK, but for those who don't, just search up Jimmy Savile. That's all I'm gonna say.

Okay, so having seen The Bone Temple earlier...

The film seems to be a short time after 28 Years Later. We get a flashback to "Samson's" past likely at some point early during the outbreak.

Also, the fact that Jim shows up at the end of the movie with a daughter (likely his and Selena's) most definitely decanonizes the IDW 28 Days Later series which implied he was executed for justifiably killing Major West.

We didn't see Jim get executed in the comic, so it doesn't really contradict in my opinion. Unless we see his corpse or something, lol.

After Jim, Hannah and Selena were rescued, they were taken to France and became internationally renowned as the Manchester Three. Jim was arrested and sentenced to death for killing Major West and his soldiers, and was scheduled to be executed by firing squad. Nearly twenty-eight weeks after the Original Outbreak, the execution hadn't occurred yet.

So, uh... if we don't see it happen... what's the contradiction?

I could see the execution being cancelled due to Jim's actions being justified, too (they tried to rape a woman and child, both of whom could back up Jim's claims). That, or Jim is really crafty and escaped, or someone let him out. A lot of things can justify them living.
