Lost *spoilers*

I like the idea of the tsunami being integrated into the story, but I also like the idea that the island is somehow displaced from reality, and can only be found if you know where to look.

Maybe Mother Nature trumps the island hideaway's powers...who knows? I'm not even positive it will happen, as I haven't heard any mention of it in the remaining four episodes. Maybe next season, who knows? A flood of epic proportions would certainly fit the many Biblical parallels of the show, as well as create a whole slew of drama and story potential. It could be an underlying plot for at least three or four episodes before being dragged too long, methinks.

We'll see what happens this fall. Or maybe early 2008, if the rumors of it starting in January and running without repeats hold true.

I hope they don't. Watching the whole previous season on DVD, followed by having new episodes of LOST back is one of few things that make those first 2 months of school bearable.

I think the crash survivor saying "there were no survivors" might just be leading into another hurley's paranoia episodes next week.

yeah think lockes dad could be sawyer..that makes sense.

I think putting tsunami in there is a good idea.

What a ****ing awesome episode. And I was expecting another dull Jin/Sun episode.

Patch is alive. Awesome.

Survivors are dead. What the hell?

So Jins mother was a prostitute. Let the speculation about Suns father being Jins father too begin

And no survivors? That means only one thing: CLONES! Everybody on the island are clones! Clones! CLONES I TELL YOU!!! :panic:

When Sun's dad says that Jin is in debt and he will be working for him, does this mean that Sun is indirectly the cause of Jin becoming the nasty henchman he was?

This is kind of bold speculation, but has anyone thought that Lost may do something really bold for the season finale like a 1-2 year jump? Since the entire show has only taken place over the course of about 90 days, that would be incredibly drastic but possibly genius too.

I'm betting that this season's finale will change the landscape of the show forever... I'm not sure they would do something as outlandish as jumping ahead, but there will be groundbreaking things that will have us aching for more...

For one thing - I think, as a coincidence, there should be something catastrophic or some huge epiphany happening on the 108th day that the Lostaways are on the island. Perhaps this is where the finale falls and the day that Penny comes to the rescue.

Also, I fear for the fate of some of the large roles on Lost. I can't be specific without saying things I shouldn't (I wouldn't want to spoil what I've read), but there are things that they are toying with that has me worried... I hope it's nothing, but we'll have to see.

Yes. Added another dimension to that whole plot-line.

Jin was always saying he was doing it (the violence and other stuff her father ordered) for her, to be with her.

This episode showed he was really doing it because Sun wanted him to avoid his shame. So he basically unfairly blamed her at first for the wrong reason, though she was responsible in some way.

Did anybody already point out here that when Naomi said what Mikhail translated to be "Thank you" she was actually saying something like "I did not come alone"? Pretty cool.

I had heard something like that but I don't know what to make of it... It could be that there are more people looking for Desmond, more people that were in the helicopter that may still be alive, or that she is not alone because she is now reaccompanied by the Others, who called for her.

Of course it's Locke's dad Locke takes Sawyer to kill. He just tells him it's Ben because it will convince him to do it.

There are rumours that the two hour finale is going to have a Jack flashback which reveals a secret about his past... I'm sick of Jack. Unless it's revealing his father's alive on the island under the name of Jacob, then I don't care.

Agree about Jack. Fox's portrayal of the character is too one-dimensional and unexciting, besides the fact that the writers haven't really treated him as the main character he's supposed to be lately.

I like Jack when he's hardcore (Season 2 finale) but lately he's just been... flat. How many episodes are left? 4 or 6? I've read both.

Locke has the next episode, then I think it's Charlie, then Ben, and then Jack has the two episodes for the season finale... am I missing somebody?

EDIT: Just read Wikipedia... it appears there are 4 left.

Locke, Ben, Charlie, Jack

So who thinks Charlie's going to die in his episode?

Depends if the actor isn't contracted for another series it seems likely. But I like the idea that when desmond sees the future and it's charlie having an accident if he can just let that happen and then heal him...it'll be like his premonitions weren't to kill charlie just to wound him sorta thing..but yeah he'll probably die.

Oh man next episode is Lockes..that thread's been hanging over me since the big father reveal, i can't wait

So who thinks Charlie's going to die in his episode?

Probably. I don't think he's signed for next season.

Houde and I were discussing how cool it would be if it looked like Charlie was going to die, but then Claire died. Remember how all of Desmond's predictions revolved around Charlie dying while doing something for Claire. This theory would have worked, but then Desmond took them into the jungle and Charlie got an arrow to the throat, which has nothing to do with Claire. So yeah, I think Charlie's going to die, and I think Patch will have something to do with it.

EDIT: Unless the writers pull a 180 on us and have Desmond die saving Charlie. I like Desmond more than Charlie though.
