Question: is Uatu (The Watcher) outside of time like the TVA when he's within the Nexus of All Realities gateway or is his presence in real-time for all Earths thus still within the barriers of time?

I was thinking about this, after researching Gap Junction (learning it is essentially an interdimensional/meta-physical bleeding point between universes, but not the gateway that the Nexus exists in.) But then I thought about if that's really outside the reaches of time or not?

The Dark Dimension is outside of time, but I don't know how each dimension is layered in the MCU where time exists...

My theory: Galactus is a multiversal threat or enforcer for the Celestials' cause whose existence reaches out in forms of clouds but the main form is humanoid - and each universe requires one herald connecting his essence to that reality.

Norrin Radd - (Earth-121698)
Shalla-Bal - (Earth-199999 (???) or unknown alt-60s branch)

And thus, my expectations are immediately lowered.

Of all the villains from the Fantastic Four's rogues gallery they could've used, they go straight to Galactus and the Silver Surfer.

Not the Mole Man, not Annihilus, not the Frightful Four, and certainly not the legend that is Dr. Doom. But instead, the bloody cosmic consumer of worlds and his herald.

I honestly can't be excited at all. I've been burnt too many times by the MCU due to Phase 4 and 5.

definitely agree especially with talks of it
taking place in another reality, why even get invested
not even to mention the fancasting of reed in mom only for them to recast with an actor even older than krasinski

I don't see why Marvel branching out the multiverse and having the team in their own universe is an excuse to not be invested. Chances are they merge with the main universe after Secret Wars anyway.
Krasinski was just a fun fan service cameo, I doubt it was ever intended for it to be anything more. Also, Pascal is a great actor and I'm sure he'll make a good Reed.

A reminder that the first version of Shalla-Bal as Silver Surfer in the comics originated on Earth-X ("Earth-9997") and Galactus was tied to the Celestials in that as a cosmic "fail-safe" to purge overpopulated planets if the Celestials failed their duty.
Sound familiar?

You might be on to something, actually.

The theory would require the Fantastic Four to be in the main MCU timeline however....but what's to say the MCU versions aren't from the past but rather the future? Decades into a retro-esque looking future, give or take. Still "another universe" by Marvel timeline rules regarding the future.

This idea came to me in a dream, no joke. Arishem returns to Earth in 2063 or 2099 (whatever future year) - the Fantastic Four don't have their powers yet - Earth has not met the Celestials' standards for survival. Understanding the fragility of the human psyche, he gives them a very limited time to say their goodbyes to each other before the world is "devoured" by a cosmic force greater than himself. During this time (a week, a month, again whatever amount of time) the F4 basically develop a means to travel to 2027 by the skin of their teeth - but end up with powers somehow (wasn't exactly clear in my dream).

And the dream ended. I feel like it would develop from there as a way to prevent Galactus' arrival from coming to pass but also confront him and the female Surfer somehow in the second half...

Very controversial idea, a little dark, but an idea I wanted to share regardless.

I still think that the Fantastic Four movie is set in an alternate universe, but I do personally think that having Shalla-Bal as Silver Surfer and having that kind of Galactus does fit with the overall Celestial narrative.

I also wouldn't be surprised if whatever world this takes place on really does get destroyed by Galactus too.

Kinda my point, as all potential futures in the Marvel Multiverse are alternate universes/timelines at some point.
There's a constant flux of which is set in stone for the reality it's the future of, until it's undone.
