Has anybody here read the novel Meg by Steve Alten? You should check that one out. It's surprisingly good and reads like the fastest-paced parts of a Crichton novel.

We do a tug of war every year. Volunteers from the different classes compete (Juniors VS Freshmen, Seniors VS Sophomores) and then the winning team goes up against the teachers and coaches.
I can only hope that there are some partial amputations this year.
