Terminator Salvation

On the other hand; behave like Bale on ANY other job in the world and you get your *** fired right away. Seriously, you wont get away with that anywhere else.
Robje makes an excellent point.

I read a comment somewhere about the cinematographer having a pretty piss poor reputation, confirming what AICN had to say about the matter, but Robje is right... Part of the reason why other people would actually side AGAINST Bale is because that kind of behavior is usually considered unconscionable in an ordinary workplace.

This whole thing is so completely blown out of proportion.

And I blame the director as much as Bale and the DP. When Bale asks if anyone's on his side as it were, the director just flippantly says, "I didn't see it." He's in charge. He shouldn't LET people get this messy during production. Bale lost his temper, sure. We ALL do that. But why didn't the director tell the DP, "Lock your **** down BEFORE a take" and then tell Bale, "You're an actor: ACT CALM." And then recommence filming?

You can say 'star ego' and what not, but Bale's not meant to be in charge. And the guy who was didn't seem to be paying attention.

In any case, it's such a small little thing that we're all guilty of, and yet people want to judge him because he's rich and powerful and "gets away with it" not because what he did was so bad, but because he's not suffering any repercussions for it... except for this whole 'embarrassingly out in the open' stuff.

The guy's not the villain from SHAFT. I dislike this judmental nature of the tabloid press. Good for you AICN. DSF's right, it is the only article to make any real sense by pointing out in the beginning that this isn't news of any sort.

Let's move on, and recognize the fact that this is not even news.

I mean seriously. What does this even have to do with Terminator?

Is production being accelerated because of the tantrum? Is there going to be a delay because they need a new DP? Is McG looking for a crew relations and motivation officer?

If the answer to all these questions is NO, then it's NOT Terminator Salvation News. The Terrence Howard should still be Rhodey discussion was ten times more newsworthy than this.

It's vitally important news! When I'm watching this movie (AS IF!) I'll be like, "Is this the scene? Is THIS the scene? Oooh! Is this the scene?"

It'll be a fun mini-game to distract from the franchisicide.
