Yeah they have to for Gotham, least the live action TV rights since Bats appears in the new animated Justice League show.

Yeah, one of those is supposed to be the Flash/Supergirl crossover musical episode as a nod to Benoist and Gustin's time on Glee. And Mxyzptlk is a perfect villain/foil to get just that to happen. That has potential to be hilarious, and hopefully takes cues to how the 90's Animated Series Superman episodes featuring the character, just without Gilbert Godfrey's grating voice.
