I need some help from someone who is an expert on Marvel comics.
I'm not so young anymore, but I remember with pleasure that as a boy (about 1980), I avidly read Marvel comics (basically, I read almost all the series published here in Italy, where I live).
My question concerns the X-Men, relaunched in May 1975 with the Giant-Size X-Men #1 by Len Wein and Dave Cockrum. The title featured a new, international team consisting of Scott Summers (Cyclops), Sean Cassidy (Banshee), Shiro Yoshida (Sunfire), and James "Logan" Howlett (Wolverine), along with new characters Ororo Munroe (Storm), Kurt Wagner (Nightcrawler), Piotr "Peter" Rasputin (Colossus), and John Proudstar (Thunderbird).
My question is this: I remember a story at the end of which the X-Men group died (at least apparently). I can't trace the number it happened in. I was curious as to how that story continued.
Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide!
- Marco.
