Avengers Mighty Avengers Series Discussion **SPOILERS**

I love how Ultron supposedly has control over basically the entire world's machinery but didn't think to fire every nuke in existence and turn the entire planet into a radioactive wasteland. It would be even easier with the weather control--use wind to blow fallout everywhere.

But,That be too simple.

I man where's the bloodshed? it be vapor and thats no fun

Even I know when to throw in the towel.

I loved it before because it was big and stupid and just fun.......but now......sigh. And Cho was the biggest draw for me. Now he's gone. And it's a symbiote story. And add on the delays.

It's done.

Someone lock this thread and never speak of this again.

Wasnt it getting delayed becouse of cho?

I liked #5. It was fun. However, it doesn't save the arc from it's previous stupidity.

I read it. It made sense. I liked where Ultron punched Sentry all the way to Pittsburg.

I'm still embarassed I started this thread. Who knows....maybe the book will get better in the future.

If anything, it will get worse when Bagley takes over.

apparently Bagley is already done the entirety of the symbiote story

say what you will about the guy but you gotta respect his work ethic

Marvel should pull a Wonder Woman with this Ultron business and release the last issue as an annual so they can move onto the symbiote story before all the interest is gone

I just got caught up and reread the first 6 issues.

I can't decide if this takes the title of Worst Comic Story EVAR from Ultimate Iron Man.

The thought balloons killed this whole story. Well, I shouldn't say that, because that makes it sound like if it was a story about Ultron taking over Tony Stark's body and threatening to destroy the world (yawn) would be good if it wasn't for those durn thought balloons.

The worst part about the whole thing is that it is supposed to draw from Extremis (Warren Ellis's first Invincible Iron Man arc and one of the finest things I've ever read), but it's obvious that Bendis didn't read it and got Cliff's Notes on it from someone who also didn't read it.

Tony Stark did not become a machine with Extremis. That's not how it works; not even close. The underarmor that he previously wore is enhanced and is stored in the hollows of his bones, it's not part of him biologically. Even if Ultron could take control of that, it might make him explode or something; it couldn't do anything to his actual body.

Besides being totally sucky, this story isn't even based in accuracy.

How do you get something like that wrong?!

I can't believe this is the same guy that's writing New Avengers.

0/5 for the entire arc.

A 0 is even too kind.

At least it gave us compelling and interesting characters such as Ms. Marvel, Sentry and the Wasp!

Oh wait... :?

and Wonderman you can't forget Wonderman

hell even Ares was boring in this

The Ares mini was pretty good...Bendis managed to turn him into a boring, stupid cliche.

"A Wolverine and a Thor". Give me a ****ing break.

Ares was a complete dumbass in this and the worst tragedy of the entire arc - that said, he is probably the best thing in it. His innovative fight scenes and his insistence that people speak English were really nice touches.

The rest is just so idiotic.

But just seeing the God of War have a thought bubble making a heart shape is the stupidest thing I've ever seen in a comic.

Boy, did this suck. The cover to #6 was cropped so you couldn't even see the Tin Man. And why the **** is Lindy alive?!? I did not get that.

Here's hoping the next arc will be better.

#6 - 2.5/5 Tafts

Arc - 1.5/5 Tafts

Couldn't agree with you more. I waiting for the end of the whole Skrull Invasion thing, to be done over with and then I'm dropping the title.

Ok....I can admit when I'm wrong. This'll just be one of those things that people pull up a year or 2 from now and laugh at. Like E's optimism and excitement for UIM.

I was all hyped for this book when I first heard about it in Wizard. Then, even after the flak, I still dug this book after issue #1 and 2. But then it started dragging. And then it started getting absurd. And then I began to wonder if the same man who is writing New Avengers is writing this too? It became too much. And the delays hurt any momentum it had. And etc etc etc.

But now I can admit that this book just sucks. Bad. Real bad. And on top of it all....he's still supposed to do the Symbiote story? Which we all know how it's gonna end anyways? Yeah pass.

Wolverine and Thor. Bleh. You ruined Ares for me Bendis.

Sigh.
