The "Audi - Driver's Test" short probably makes more sense after Homecoming (or at some point during the closing scenes, depending on when Infinity War picks up), since Peter clearly isn't ready for any kind of driver's test when he commandeers Flash's car, even with the Audi's advanced features.

Exactly. Danny and Colleen clearly mention a couple times they'd been chasing the Hand for a few months, placing Defenders not long after end of Iron Fist. With the date shown on Jessica's computer selfishmisery pointed out, and which clearly lines up with colder weather/trees changing color and losing leaves, its around 5 months later.

Yeah, I've heard those rumours too. I was thinking that if they put out 4 seasons a year, they basically have to expand in different directions. But I guess most tv shows put out more than 13 episodes a year, and each Defenders show has a different cast and production crew, so it's conceivable that they could do the same four every year with the defenders thrown in once in a while.

Agreed, but with Ant-Man, and any other film that uses exact footage from another film like First Avenger, we can chalk that up to being more of a teaser rather than a continuation of the story. So Ant-Man can be an exception along with First Avenger.

I for one am hoping they combine the Luke Cage and Iron Fist solo shows into a Heroes for Hire series, focusing on Luke, Danny, Misty and Colleen. Taking this approach helps solve two of the Netflix MCU shows biggest problems: pacing, and fact Finn Jones isn't charismatic enough to carry his own show (but does do a decent job and is more likable as part of an ensemble as Defenders proved). All the Netflix MCU shows suffer from pacing problems. Personally I think 8-10 episodes is plenty for the solo seasons, but if they're going to continue with 13 episodes per year a larger cast with their own interesting plot lines helps fill the time better, and keep the pacing of the show propelling forward evenly. Jones, as said, doesn't seem to have the charisma to carry his own show, but he did well in Defenders when playing off the other characters, so I say take advantage of that. Center a show, a sort of buddy cop show without them being cops but vigilantes, focusing on their friendship and revitalizing New York after the Hand threat. This opens up their schedule for potential new projects set in MCU.

It was mentioned by James Gunn that that particular post credit scene (with teenage Groot) occurs sometime soon before Avengers - Infinity War, as that's basically how Groot will appear in that movie. So, it picks up good few years after majority of GotG Vol. 2.

Yeah, I'd be okay with that. But first I want to see a good Iron Fist season that deals with K'un Lun some more. The end of Defenders confirmed the
existence of dragons
, so now lets see some actual flashbacks to Danny training. I want to see Thunderer and August Personage in Jade. I want to see him fight Shao Lao. Finn Jones isn't the best casting for Danny, but the main issue with the first season of Iron Fist was crappy writing and a story that missed what makes Iron Fist awesome.
The end of Defenders seemed to hint at
Danny taking Daredevil's place as a street hero
, so we'll see where that goes. It also hinted at
Luke and Jessica reconnecting
, so we'll see what happens with
Claire and Luke
. I hope they'll take one more season each to tell solo stories, but with some crossover, and then come together after that. I would even include Jessica in the Heroes for Hire show, but I doubt that will happen because the public is ripe for female leads right now (that's not a complaint, just an observation).
By the way (since this is the only thread anyone seems to post in now) what did you think of the Defenders? It was pretty fun, but a bit disappointing as a wrap up for the Hand arc. Some of the plot points seem to have gotten mixed up and changed along the way. I doubt Gao was meant to be part of the Hand when she appeared in season 1 of DD. It basically worked, but her character became much less interesting the more they developed her. She was incredibly compelling in DD season 1, but Iron Fist kind of ruined her and Defenders went with that. On top of that, her powerful palm thrust that she used against DD in season 1 turned into a force push in the Defenders. Is she a jedi or a kung fu master? But she was still better than Alexandra who was just a very bland villain.
And then there's the whole maguffin of the story: why does removing
dragon bones
from under the city cause earth quakes? Because it has to or the heroes have nothing to fight against. And the secondary plot maguffin: is the Black Sky destined to lead the Hand (as is stated by Nobu in DD season 2) or to be a weapon for the Hand (as is stated by everyone in Defenders)? It was all just a bit messy and nebulous, which doesn't work with mystical/magical stuff, there needs to be some kind of internal logic so we can suspend our disbelief for the supernatural elements.
Any way, I loved the Luke/Danny moments, the Luke/Jessica moments, and the Matt/Foggy/Karen moments. And I'm super pumped for
Born again in DD season 3, though they better have some kind of good explanation for what happened to him.
It's not very noticeable, but I just realized that you can see Avengers Tower when Strange and Mordo are running from the zealots through NYC. This kinda creates a hiccup with the building being sold in Homecoming a few months prior.
