I've just put it after the Siege quest line since it ends with the guy heading back to roughly where you meet up with him again in Act II of the main game. As for dating it, the whole thing is such a mire I've just attributed it with the eruption of mount doom so they can stay comfortably between the movie trilogies. At a glance just now the post seems to argue that the events of the game bridge decades but playing through them it really doesn't seem like that right up until the final cutscenes.


I've taken a lot of liberties to try and align as much pieces of media as possible but I think it works alright. At a later time I'll probably tag the continuities but once I've uploaded everything from my docs I'll be leaving it until at least after Rohirrim drops

Honestly I just figured it happened between the games and that they didn't forge the new ring immediately but if it's in the wiki that's enough for me, prefer not relying on my own judgement calls anyway
 
Oh also
Rings of power clearly takes place over a short time span so I just dated it to the fall of eregion since it's what happened last and is the date for the bright lord. If anyone asks how Celebrimbor can be alive after S2 for the dlc they can dig up Tolkein himself and id still tell him to shut up just as I will you ;)

Remembered the new indy game is out so looks like I'm watching raiders instead so I'll finish this tomorrow. Everything dated upove the question mark line is fully time stamped already

Shouldn't it be later in the Timeline due to Isildur's and Elendil's appearences in TRoP?

RoP compresses a lot of centuries into a few weeks and mixed up the sequence a little for narrative purposes but like I said, I went with the date of the fall of eregion due to Celebrimbor's part in the bright lord DLC being attached to that date.

Plus I have a feeling that S3 will have bit more of a time gap so hopefully this will still work. Isildur and Elendil are of an extraordinarily long lived breed of man so I'm not worried about having them be around earlier

I just felt like compromising with the timelines was the best way to go using the books as a framework. Nothing really contradicts too overtly and it all ultimately tells a part of middle earth's story in the right sequence
 
I was working this out as well, and sort of what I did for the Rings of Power placement is by working backwards from Isildur's death and just assuming that he's 18-20ish in RoP. Since we know that he was 234 years old when he died in year 2 of the third age.

I think the wiki states that cos of Shadow of War happening. Cos before War was released we all thought that the DLC happened After the Main game, as it indicate that some time passed, and since they references the defeat of the tower. (At least I think that's the reason, tho I'm not sure). But then SoW arrived and they changed It to before last mission as War stated that they worked a lot of time on the ring.

I think the time skip at the start makes Sense as Mordor Is fully taken and armed.

Then you can have a time skip in between the games to forge the new ring.

This could work?

The whole dlc takes place between two lines: Celebrimbor's torture and Sauron beating him to death. I couldn't decide whether being full of arrows in S2 was really something an elf couldn't be brought back from by the likes of Sauron given the books didn't have his fall until after the making of the one ring, or if I should've just placed it before his final scene but it was a solid episode I didn't want to break up. When S3 drops I'll probably change it to the latter. Regardless his involvement in the Nazgul flashbacks doesn't even make sense to the game's own timeline so I've just assumed it's his wraith form following Sauron as he was cursed to

Celebrimbor is probably the iffiest aspect of this timeline but I think I've made it work
 
so I think this could work:

2942 TE - SoM Intro.

2980 TE - SoM

2999 TE - SoW

3018 TE - SoW Epilogue.

What do you think, @ScottishRyzo ? Could i work or better keep it ambiguous?

Yeah go for it. Got a surprise dinner date I need to get ready for but you've convinced me of the time gap at the start. When I get the chance and I've uploaded where I settled on in my notes we can compare the two and see what works
