Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

I saw the St. Patty's day episode, it made me laugh. Also, the mom is definantly the chick who brushed up against Ted in the bar.

Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

I don't normally watch this show, but I will TOTALLY watch the Britney episode(s).

To be honest E....you need to watch this show in general.

I think the reason why the show is so great is the fact that it's totally relatable. I watch this stuff and its the same stuff I do and say with my friends.

And there's a character for everyone. I'm thinking you're a Marshall.

Seriously. So serious, I typed out 'seriously'.

So true. I am so like Ted, for the most part. Or some. Whatever. Me TED- SHARKBAIT, UH-HA-HA.

I'm thinking you're a Marshall.
I bet E goes to his wife telling her his hands smell like a new kind of weird.

So Britney was bad....but she just felt outta place.

I mean they really could've used any random actress to play that part. But for what the role was, she did ok. There's nothing there to hinder the quality of the show.

Now the producers totally redeemed themselves by casting Sarah Chalke in this episode. Good Gravy Marie!

All in all it was a good show.

Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

I thought Britney did a job where she didn't ruin the show, but still had bad acting. Although I did laugh when she chased Ted down the street. The episode was decent. Having Sarah Chalke was awesome!

Sarah Chalke will also guest star in the first April episode (3.15).

(Note: There will be a 2 week break between next Monday's episode [3.14] and the following one).

Now, moving on:

Season 3, Episode 15:

Title: "The Simmons Report".

Synopsis: While at the bar, Marshall tells the gang about something terrible that happened at work: one of his law school buddies got yelled at for writing a crappy report and is told to get in the game or get out, that put said buddy in weird state; later, Marshall has to hand in a report and fears that he'll get yelled at by the boss too. The gang tells Marshall that he should stand up for himself. Marshall marches in the boss' office and quits. (Special Guest Star Sarah Chalke as Stella)

Air Date: 4/14/08

And lastly Barney's Blog Report:

8.3 Seconds – That's All You've Got To Make A First Impression

I pretty much agree. I gotta say though, I loved the Manos: Hands of Fate reference.

This week's episode was good. I liked it better than last week's.

Plus, Doogie Howser, M.D. reference FTW! And it was totally the best place for Awesome to show up.

"Even though I didn't find the mystery girl....I did find something very important about myself....I'm awesome."

Edit:

Season 3 Episode 16:

Title: Sandcastles In The Sand

Synopsis: (Not actual Synopsis) There will be another appearance of Robin's alter ego Robin Sparkles and a new song of hers in this episode. (Special Guest Star James Van Der Beek).

Air Date: 4/21/08

And remember, no HIMYM next Monday. Next episode airs on the 14th.

The Doogie Howser reference was the highpoint of the show.

I was so worried that March Madness bracket would be the shining star. It was funny...but not funny enough.

And then the Doogie part. I literally fell outta my chair laughing when I saw it.

Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

How do you guys think the season will end? The producers have said to expect a cliffhanger that will have "actual compelling emotional situations".

Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

Not sure. First season ended with the Marshall/Lilly dynamic. Second season ended with the progression of Ted/Robin saga. Barney is.........Barney---so I doubt that the end will affect him much.

Especially since the story is supposed to be about Ted.

Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

I wonder if the season finale gets us somewhat closer to finding out who the mother is.

Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

If anything they should at least introduce her properly.

Like have a scene where Ted is breaking up/getting dumped by whatever girl of the week he's dating and have him run into the "mother", then have a voice over where Saget says, "Kids...one day when you're older---you'll understand what it means to have 'that instantaneous spark' when you meet someone."

Or something like that. Hopefully more creative.

Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

My theory is this: We get introduced to Ted's future wife at the end of the season... We cut to the kids, who want to hear more, they are unsatisfied. They want to hear the rest of the story...

Because we need more development towards that, methinks.

Re: How I Met Your Mother (discussion)

The Doogie Howser end was hilarious, the sting operation had me cracking up too.

CBS Monday stays strong

According to Nielsen preliminary estimates, CBS ran second to "Dancing" in the night's opening hour with "The Big Bang Theory" (3.1 rating/9 share in adults 18-49, 8.7 million viewers overall) and "How I Met Your Mother" (4.0/11 in 18-49, 9.7 million viewers overall), with the latter continuing to shine in its new timeslot, building by 2 shares on its lead-in.

A song will begin playing when you go to the site. You must listen to it. All twenty minutes of it. ESPECIALLY at around or a little bit after 9:50. The writers are ****ing geniuses.

Oh my god. I just got to 13:25 or a little afterwards and... it's just... you must listen to this song. You must.
