With the new 52 now rolling out in its allpowerfull greatness (some of it anyway superboy sucked) lets think back to the good ol' days when comics were in triple digit numbers. I say, EMERALD TWILIGHT FTW

Hey man. So just FYI, you can edit your posts if you want to add something or fix a spelling mistake.

But also,
Geoff Johns' run on Teen Titans
New Teen Titans: The Judas Contract
Green Lantern: Reborn
Superman: Birthright
Batman: The Killing Joke
Etc
Batman: A Death In The Family

You saying that somehow reminded me of a great and surprising moment...BANE BREAKS THE BAT! (can't wait to see that happen again in dark knight rises)

When I really think about it, there really aren't many DC proper runs in the past 25 years that I really care to have on my shelf. It kind of makes me sad and, I think, really reflects on the state of the industry, not just in recent past but in terms of how it's run for decades.

Starman is something I'd be happy to have a copy of on display, of course; a handful of Morrison's runs; Brubaker's Catwoman, perhaps; Rucka's Wonder Woman. But most everything in their long history strikes me as largely forgettable or gimmicky.

If DC hadnt made anything good in the last 25 uear we'd ve in major trouble

What I'm saying is, IMHO, looking at post-Crisis works, DC (and they aren't alone in this) haven't published a whole lot of superhero comics that stand up to scrutiny.

The only Big 2 Superhero stuff I keep on my shelves is my Millar/Bendis Daredevil hardcovers. Everything else goes in boxes to eventually be sold off.

I would like a set of Starman Omnibi.

Theres a lot of Vertigo on the shelves...

So great moments in the DCU? How about when Dethstroke was nailin that jailbait Terra?

"You blinked. I switched the cups. Force of habit."

Seven Soldiers of Victory
Grant Morrison's Batman run (is that considered old DCU since it started per-new 52 but is still going on in new 52?).
