I wonder if the first day of shooting is like the first day of school. Where you don't really do much, you just get more situated with the new circumstances, and the teacher forces you to do some very lame ice breakers so you learn everyone's name.

Exactly, it's like they'd be throwing out a billion-dollar ad campaign that's been getting people hyped for years. Maybe "The Ultimate Avengers", but even that'd be pushing it.

The Ultimates!

Starring...

The Indestructible Armor Dude!

Zeus, God of Lightning!

Lieutenant USA, the Original Ultimate!

and introducing QUEEN HORNET!

That wouldn't make sense - they've already said "Avenger" in the last two Iron Man movies, the Incredible Hulk and in the tagline and possibly the actual title of Captain America:) The First Avenger).

Obviously they should've done it a while ago, then.

It's more than that. It's about merchandising and branding. They want the Avengers name to be recognizable for when they sell toys, cartoons, backpacks, comics, etc. with it. The movie's about more than box office sales. It's the flagship for an important cross-merchandise brand.

"Marvel's The Avengerz (feat. Drake)"

Oh hell no. If we have Thorsday, then we'll have to have Americaday, and that's hella-racist.
