I think he left to have a council with the other wizards. It may have been a battle though. I know that they are putting a lot of things in the movies that weren't in the books, but were found in the appendixes. That way they will be able to fill up two movies. I'm excited.
 
and they're elaborating on things that were mentioned in the Hobbit and tie into LOTR.

Gandalf and the Wizards fought a dude named Necromancer in the Hobbit (Gandalf mentioned that they did at least) and then in LOTR he mentions that Necromancer was actually Saron rebuilding power
 
Last 5 movies I saw: CLASH OF THE TITANS, PERCY JACKSON, 17 AGAIN, DARKMAN and THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT. And I'm currently in the middle of BEVERLY HILLS COP.

DARKMAN was great. But I can't decide if Bruce Campbell's cameo as Final Shemp was an amazing thing or a bad thing to end the movie on. (And I love Campbell.) Also, I think I have a new favorite Liam Neeson quote: "Take the ****ing elephant!!!"
 
Can you guys believe I still haven't seen the Lord of the Rings trilogy?

None of the Harry Potter movies either.
 
I heard in an interview that Frank Quitely didn't see the original Star Wars films until he was in his 30s.

That was the only Darkman I liked, the other two not so much.
