I'm actually kind of surprised you thought the acting was that bad.... it's always seemed fine/good to me and has never been brought up during countless viewings with friends and family. Some of it, like Michael Ironside and Dina Meyer, was even notably good, I'd say.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes was mesmerizing. Great stuff. I'm also pleased to see it's already turned a sizeable profit, when I really thought it would be a huge bomb.

Don't judge Crank before you see it, guys. I'm inclined to agree with disliking/finding impossible the "turn your brain off" approach, but Crank isn't like that the way other action/revenge movies are. It was a stylish, original blast.
