Yeah, this issue did a little better in placing the video game in continuity then the last, especially with the Wildpack mentioning "That Latveria thing". I'm going with the "Sable's playing dumb" scenario too.

Whelp, if the game does take place after this arc, MJ and Peter will get back together in the not-so-far future. I'm just going with what I perceive from this issue, and as far as I perceive there aren't a lot of ways for the game to fit before this arc.

Re: Ultimate Spider-Man 86 (spoiler) She does know what Peter looks like, what his name is and even finds out where he lives in the game. In this issue, Flash even says his name out loud and she still thinks he's Spider-Man. So, unless only certain portions of the game are in continuity...

Re: Ultimate Spider-Man 86 (spoiler) I played through the game twice. And Sable does know that Peter is Spider-Man. She even fights Peter hand-to-hand. Thusly, as far as we know, the game isn't in continuity. Which is a shame, since we might not see the Beetle/Latverian loose ends wrapped...

Ace ending. The Cat throwing up on Peter was a bit much, though. And Elektra getting stuck in the head made me feel a little better about Spidey getting his butt kicked last issue.

Another thing that makes me think OR will just be a throwaway character is Bendis' flippant attitude when refering to him. I recall him mentioning "Spidey will get Omega Red to kick around at a point next story arc" and Bendis seems to have a generally low opinion of characters that originated...

I get the feeling Red will be a throwaway like Killer Shrike and Gladiator and after Spidey beats him here, we probably won't see him again. Then again, I may be wrong.

SLIGHT SPOILERS . . . . . . . . . . . . Bryan Singer said he didn't wanna do another "Magneto breaks out" scene- he did that in X2. So I'd wager Vaughn has Magneto cleanly escape at the end and leave him out there so when Singer's run happens, Magneto is available for use.
