Death of Ultimate Spider-Man (Feb. 2011)

Because Bagley is drawing, and I think he has pretty much decided to re-use his design for Sharon Carter from the Doc Ock/Hammer story. When she first appeared in USM as head of S.H.I.E.L.D, I actually thought she was Sharon.

Death of Ultimate Spider-Man (Feb. 2011)

I think it's just a random S.H.I.E.L.D scientist. Death of a Goblin can get away with bringing back one goblin, not the two of them!

Death of Ultimate Spider-Man (Feb. 2011)

The two stories should cross in april. There is one issue of each series that month, with the covers depicting Spidey and members of the Avengers or New Ultimates. In May, the Sinister Six apparently enter the fray, and from then on, Peter should have his hands full dealing with those guys. I...

We're in agreement, Mysterio is totally, absolutely, Wade Wilson!

Death of Ultimate Spider-Man (Feb. 2011)

McGuinness variant of UCSM #157, the first issue of the event in the Spider-Man book : I find the simplicity of it to be... chilling.

    Ultimate Comics Spider-Man (discussion/spoilers)

It's too bad that Lafuente apparently doesn't read Atomic Robo, his style would have fit perfectly to draw a little cameo of him right here in that scene.

    Ultimate Doom Discussion

Is that Ben's new name? Wonder Man? And I don't think they're boyfriend and girlfriend, but Ben is certainly showing his affection for Sue in that issue. Probably that he enjoys his return to a more human-looking form after all that time spent as the Thing.

    Ultimate Comics Spider-Man (discussion/spoilers)

Actually it's both artists : the Black Cat/Mysterio story is drawn by Picelli, while the Peter/Gwen story is drawn by Lafuente. And I love both. He seems to use both actually.

Death of Ultimate Spider-Man (Feb. 2011)

The Death of Spider-Man arc in UCSM is actually 8 issues-long, according to multiple interviews. From issue 156 to issue 163.

    Ultimate Thor!

The more this mini goes, the more I think that the original axe-hammer Mjolnir will be retconned as the weapon that was given to Thor by the European Super-Soldier Initiative, while the 616 hammer is the mystical Mjolnir forged in Asgard. And Thor will be revealed as relying on technology for...

    Ultimate Comics Spider-Man (discussion/spoilers)

I thought it was quadruple-sized as far as the number of pages went, and double-sized as far as new content was concerned? They did tell that it was 54 pages of reprinted material on a total of 104.

Death of Ultimate Spider-Man (Feb. 2011)

You shouldn't try to make sense of the continuity in the Ultimate Universe. Supposedly, many years passed between the three volumes of the Ultimates, and yet Peter has been through all of them in one year! I wonder if that plan of having more than twelve issues isn't going to start right in...

    Ultimate Comics Spider-Man (discussion/spoilers)

Yeah, and aside from the obvious errors in costume design and about who's dead or alive, I think that it would have fitted issue #151 more as a variant.

    Ultimate Comics Spider-Man (discussion/spoilers)

It's more likely than this cover is something left from Bagley's days on the title and is actually NOT something made for that book, kinda like what happened with the requiem issues. Continuity isn't an issue here, the 'regular' cover by Lafuente has characters that are dead on it too. Not too...

    Ultimate Comics Spider-Man (discussion/spoilers)

For the number, I think Bendis included the 1/2 issue, the one with Iron Fist. As for the Ultimates, it looks like the roster and costumes that were in Ultimates 3. Why those, I don't know.

    Ultimate X (Loeb/Adams)

While Sabertooth certainly acted weird, as if he was mentally reconditionned or something, I thought Mystic was just the same, if a little purdy because of Adams' art. She didn't come to kill or destroy, but to make an offer. She's the continuation of what we've last seen of her in the Requiem...

But she looks exactly like how Immonen used to draw her.

    Ultimate Comics Spider-Man (discussion/spoilers)

Iceman doesn't only look dumb, he acts dumb too! Bendis is really playing the immaturity with that character, like he always did in the few moments he appeared in USM. Johnny appears like the mature one beside him.

    Ultimate Enemy discussion

He was perhaps targeting Peter... or, he may be targeting Gwen for some reason. Bendis said she was going to be heavily involved in the whole event (including Enemy, Mystery and Doom. So far, this story has elements of Ultimate Power and the Ultimate Clone Saga inside, and involves a big red...
