I actually like this headcanon, explains/fix Moira being younger and have a different job in The Last Stand, but it's just my opinion.

So when it is said that no mutants have been born in 25 years in Logan, it actually means that almost no mutants are born, very few are born, not that there have been no more mutants born since 2004. Like, ''there haven't been (practically) any mutants born for 25 years''.

So the teen/children mutants in DOFP's ending are not a plot hole.

Also I saw in Reddit, that someone had a headcanon that Moira from The Last Stand is actually her niece, that she have a brother that name his daughter after her, maybe she died in duty as CIA agent, it's in the comments. So based in this headcanon, Moira's niece become a medical scientist and...

I think 1973 altered, post-DOFP, caused the cult's existence, so they reach to find his pyramid, which didn't happen in original timeline.
