Them going in a different direction doesn't explain WHY they decided to go in a new direction.

I wonder if this is (somewhat) in response to the "meh" reception to Ant-Man and Age of Ultron. Overall, it seems like a good decision. Marvel's movies have been solid, but the vast majority have been fairly formulaic. Seems like those in charge wanted to fix that before it became a big problem.

I ended up watching all episodes last night and really liked it. You could tell that the cast was having a lot of fun. Chris Meloni as Gene is definitely my favorite character in the series. Paul Rudd had some pretty great lines too. I'd love to see more seasons, or movies based on the franchise.

It's an interesting theory, much like the James Bond as code name theory, but I really doubt that it holds any water. Reminds me of the Batman Beyond movie Return of the Joker. Really interesting to think about.

The nineties were great.

I really hope that after this they reboot the franchise. Out of all the superhero franchises, I'd want to see a completely new X-Men series the most. Less focus on Wolverine, and the colorful costumes from the Animated Series.

They've been pretty clear from the beginning that the movies and TV shows are going to be completely different.

I generally prefer practical effects to CG, but this is one of those times where the character should have been CGI. DOFP shocked everyone and was really good, so I still have faith in this. But that design is pretty terrible. It's even giving Leto's Joker a run for his money.

Maybe it's because I've never been a huge Harley fan, but her voice didn't bother me.
