In fact, it's now updated all the way through the High Republic, right to the start of Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. I've introduced a new "Flashback" system for things like The Blade, which are set at a particular time period, but feature major spoilers for later events in the narration etc...
Just checking in - is anyone still using this timeline? Will update it if so but know there are other Star Wars timelines on the site so wouldn't want to take the time if no one's fussed!
That all sounds very reasonable! I wouldn't stick rigidly to any calendar placements like that if anything else comes up to suggest otherwise, but since it fits for now I'll move it there! Thanks for the info :)
Updated with all the latest stuff. Andor S1 is all set in 5 BBY, after Rebels S1 E2. I'm sure it should interweave with Rebels S1 rather than all being in one lump as I've currently placed it, but I'll have to examine the time gaps in Rebels and Andor to make a "best guess" as to the order of...
Actually Who is a pretty different situation. Who's writers and showrunners specifically reject the idea of "canon" - there is no story group, you can believe in whatever you want, the show occasionally contradicts itself, and generally any conflicts can be explained away by the effects of time...
I'm absolutely sure this is how Filoni sees it. My question was more about how to treat the episode on the timeline, and whether it's better to fudge it into being two separate events so that we can keep both, or whether I should get rid of one!
Ahh, does it? It's been a long time since I read...
So, Tales of the Jedi Episode 6 is being much discussed online because it tells a very similar story (though different in key places) to the Ahsoka novel. The differences are big enough that the two can't really be reconciled as different points of view of the same event - however, treating it...
I think it's a vague enough reference that if it ended up conflicting with anything, we could say it's a different situation on Kessel they're talking about. But for now I see no reason why it doesn't fit, so have placed Andor to take place slightly after the first two episodes of Rebels :)
Like I say whenever people ask for this, if you want this kind of timeline, you're more than welcome to make one yourself, it's not like this has to be the only Star Wars timeline on the site! :) I'm only personally interested in it as a reading/viewing order.
I imagine it's one of those things where the characters might show up in other stories, but I think because of the nature of it being a game show it's hard to directly call it canon. I'll leave it off the timeline for now, but if stuff from the show ends up being referenced in other media, I...
