This is so great. I don't really care about vampire stories or characters or anything but this is so entertaining I'm totally engrossed. I particularly like the stuff about Croatoan and "Cro" and the Roanoke Colony.
Huh. That was pretty bad now that I look back on it.
The books is written by Seth Grahame-Smith. It is about the "true" story of Abraham Lincoln, and how his mother was killed by a vampire and sent Abe on a lifelong mission to rid America of vampires. Everything he does revolves around the mission.
The premise is pretty funny but the execution is great. Everything ties in to real events from his life, people he met and interacted with, jobs he took, places he traveled, etc. It's really good.
