I read the Astonishing X-Men: Xenogenesis #1. I enjoyed it, the dialogue was funny and the plot is interesting. My only problem is that Storm and Emma have Barbie Doll hips (though the rest of them are ok) and Ellis' criticizing of certain Afirican nations kind of took me out of the story. I also found the UST between Cyclops and Storm interesting.

This was better than I thought it would be but it could be entirely summed up in the following sentence: "Warren Ellis likes to talk about Africa and Kaare Andrews likes to draw Emma Frost's breasts."

I don't like this comic very much.

*shrugs* I like it. Not Ellis' best, but so far more original and interesting than Whedon's Astonishing.

i'm a fan of ellis and his crazy science but i feel that this run has some good ideas but not great execution. i don't know, feels like ellis is kind of phoning it in. the art is also taking sometime to get used to.
