hey guys I just got this email from www.mailordercomics.com, where I get comics from.

Good morning Roberto!

I had hoped to begin the new year with some good news. But, as things go, you
can't have good news without some bad news. Must be that whole cosmic balance
concept. Anyway, don't reach the boiling point yet because the bad news really
isn't that bad...and the good news is REALLY good! Let's begin with the bad
news. Oh, and you may want to grab a snack because this e-mail is a little
winded!

December month-end brought with it some problems. We were shorted 5 boxes our
last week of the month. 2 boxes were the Previews catalogs. So, if you
received your shipment and did not get a Previews catalog, these are being sent
this Friday (they just arrived yesterday) through the postal service. You
should have still received the Marvel insert and the order booklet however. In
addition, we were to have received many replacement issues of Iron Man #2 and
Amazing Spider-Man #515. These also just arrived yesterday so they will be
shipped out January month-end. My apologies for these not reaching our
customers in the December shipments, but the delivery issue was outside of our
control.

Ok, the bad news really wasn't that bad...as promised. Now, the good news! We
took our e-mail list of all past customers and polled them to find out how we
could make our service better. We felt this resource, coupled with the input
our current customers, would help us drive our service to the next level. The
response was overwhelming. We learned a lot...most we knew and will be
implemented in our new site launch in late February. The only negative comments
were a handful of customers left due to pricing. Well, guess what. We're going
to increase (dare I say "again") our number of discounted items effective with
the February catalog! Below is a snapshot of what to expect with regard to
ongoing discounts...no more 40% discounts as we're shifting those to 50% off!

DC Comics
1.) A minimum of 15 comics discounted at 50%
2.) A minimum of 10 NEW trade paperbacks discounted 50%
3.) At least 2 hard covers discounted 50%
4.) A minimum of 2 comics discounted at 75% off
5.) ALL NEW DC Direct merchandise discounted at 35%

Marvel Comics
1.) A minimum of 15 comics discounted at 50%
2.) A minimum of 5 NEW trade paperbacks priced at 50% off
3.) At least 2 hard covers discounted 50%
4.) A minimum of 2 comics discounted at 75% off

Image Comics
1.) A minimum of 5 comics discounted at 50%
2.) A minimum of 2 NEW trade paperbacks priced at 50% off
3.) At least 1 hard cover discounted 50%

Independents
1.) 25 or more trade paperbacks discounted 40%
2.) An assortment of indy comics discounted at 50%

Miscellaneous
1.) More discounts on statues, toys, apparel, and more

PLUS, our shipping rates will be going down in March 2004 if you choose our DHL
service. UPS rates will remain the same. Our bi-weekly and weekly shipping
charges will also be lowered.

For those concerned about handling and packaging, we've reduced our damages by
97% in the past two months. And, no more missed or wrong issues. We now
implement a triple QA process where your items are pulled, then checked for
accuracy in the same day. Finally, when packing, we ensure that you receive the
total amount of items you are scheduled to receive. Any shortages in the
validation process results in verifying the entire order (some of you may have
already seen this when you received your packing list with check marks next to
the item).

Our packing lists will be changing to reflect items that were credited and held
over due to late release by publishers, etc.

Lastly, we are having our banners done in preparation of attending all major
(and some minor) comic book conventions in 2005. For those of you that
expressed interest in representing us, you'll receive a Mailordercomics t-shirt,
$100 for a 1-day or $175 for a 2-day event, and your entry into the event paid
for. If you didn't indicate in interest in the past, you may want to do so
now. We're going to be ready in February!

So, spread the word about our upcoming changes to every message board and blog
posting you can find. Don't forget, you receive a $15 referral bonus for each
customer you bring our way (customer must order 2 consecutive months, have an
average order size of $50, and be in good standing). 2005 WILL be the year of
Mailordercomics!

Take care and enjoy your day!! Here's to a great, and cheaper, 2005!!

Best regards,

Michael Robinson

If you want comics for cheap, this is it. If you find another place that sells cheaper comics, they will beat their price by 5%, as long as you email them the order form to verify.
