Small Question about Dark Avengers

Do the public know that the members arent the same people in the costume. Like do they know that McGargan is Spider-Man or do they think its still the normal spider-man. Like do they know its a new a new set of heroes.

I dont usually read 616, im starting to get into to it, Ultimate Marvel is my home.

No, the public is unaware that they're not who they say they are. They think it's the real Spidey, and Hawkeye, etc. Whether they believe Clint Barton after he went on air and outed them is another story; that has yet to really play out.

As an aside - it's just Gargan. Not McGargan. Mac is his first name.
