Guardians of the Galaxy series discussion (potential Conquest spoilers)

well in May, we'll be getting a new cosmic ongoing spinning out from Annihilation Conquest, written by Dan Abnett, and Andy Lanning, with art by Paul Pelletier, and cover art by Clint Langley, interview located here: http://comics.ign.com/articles/851/851643p1.html

I'm excited about the book, but that cover is fugly, like they wanted to go X-Treme, christ look at Adam Warlock

and apparently Cosmo the Telepathic Cosmonaut Dog will also be part of the book. No word on Wraith, Kl'rt, Praxagora, or Ronan god I hope Kl'rt doesn't get folded into the Secret Invasion story

That's Warlock on the cover? It looked like Wraith to me with the white hair and all.

Warlock has golden hair, does he not?

Looks like a good time though. And Written by people who proven to be capable with writing space people.

Though I wish Groot was in there.

He looks closer to Kratos than Quan Chi

why did they overhaul Drax's Tat's? seems unnecesary

That's Warlock look at the lightning bolts on his chest, his hair is a very light almost white, gold, yeah his face looks like Wraith (note this is the same cover artist as Wraith's mini), they should amp up the gold skin a bit to make it more noticeable

and I also think Groot should be there, Star-Lord's whole squad actually, poor Gabe poor poor Gabe.

Now where's her Heather at??? I'd be pissed if she's on the team and Moondragon isn't, I'm kinda up to my eyeballs with Marvel's slash and burn method of extinguishing couples.

I'll do it.

So, in the Quasar mini, Moondragon became an actually dragon, then in the third issue of the Main Mini, Moondragon was killed by Ultron.

I haven't read either Annihilation series, but Abnett and Lanning did a passable job with Legion of Super-Heroes and I love my space team books. I wish it was in the future, though.

This looks cool. I like the creative team, I like the roster, I like the idea. I'll give it 12 issues, max, before the inevitable cancellation or creative team change-up.
